            Bug ID: 426622
Summary: Address bar always capitalizes first letter. Addresses
                    should not be automatically mangled.
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 20.04.3
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: bars: location
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: kde-20091112 at nathanshearer.ca
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Dolphin always capitalizes the first letter in the address bar. Addresses are
case sensitive, and they should not be automatically mangled.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. One Dolphin
2. Create a folder in your home called "Files"
3. In the address bar, type "fish://localhost"
4. Explicitly type in a lowercase f. You can't.

OBSERVED RESULT
Some kind of autoreplace is being triggered and is changing the first character
that I typed. It is on by default, which is undesired, and cannot be disabled.
Tab completion is nice, but only if it is actually changing the input when I
invoke it by pressing tab. Changing the first character all the time is not
what the user would ever want.

EXPECTED RESULT
Exactly the characters I type to be entered, and to never be automatically
modified. If I use tab completion, by pressing tab, then I may want it to
retroactively change what I already type. If I actually wanted an upper-case
character to be entered, then I would have actually entered an upper-case
character.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
