            Bug ID: 429318
Summary: Expanding a huge Folder in Tree View can Crash Dolphin
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 20.08.2
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: view-engine: details mode
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: bugs.kde.org.id324 at vbgunz.com
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I can reproduce this 100% with Network > Google Drive > My Account. When
expanding large directories in tree view, a changing directory time-bomb
awaits. If I attempt to close or switch **into** another directory, I can
reliably crash Dolphin.

This does happen outside of the above location but not as much.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Expand Network > Google Drive > My Account
2. Switch into or close it or switch to another directory
3. Dolphin exits

OBSERVED RESULT
This happens elsewhere but not often as much. I'm not sure what may be causing
it but it's 100% reliably reproducible following the above mentioned path (for
me).

EXPECTED RESULT
For Dolphin not to close out completely.
