Please lower your limit again to trigger the applications not opening then run

- gdb --args dolphin --new-window

that will give you a gdb prompt. In there type

- run

wait 10 or so seconds so it's stuck. Then hit ctrl+c and type

- backtrace

paste the output of that here and use

- quit

to quit gdb again.
