            Bug ID: 416683
Summary: Samba shares tree is flat in Dolphin
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 19.12.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: view-engine: icons mode
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: msdobrescu at gmail.com
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Dolphin has a "flat" list of the Samba shares instead of a tree, lately.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In Dolphin, select "Network" in the "Remote" panel.
2. A list of network protocols is presented
3. Peek "Shared Folders (SMB)"
4. Peek a workgroup
5. Expand a device in the list (I have a ">" icon, don't open/move to that
device alone)

OBSERVED RESULT

The Samba shares are added to the computers' list.
As effect, the user can't tell which Samba share belongs to which device.

EXPECTED RESULT

Samba shares should be expanded under each device node it belongs to.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, BUT RELEVANT

This behaviour applies to anything there, protocols, workgroups, root folders
etc..
So, it becomes a big list of mixed items, like protocols, workgroups, devices,
root folders etc..

Note: By "root folders" I mean the folders that are present in the each share
root. Their children are expanded as it should, as trees.

This is unusable.

I can't tell if this happens for other protocols there, as I don't use them
(for instance "Network" item never displays a thing for my setup), but all
items there should be organized in tree form, not flat mixed list.
