My Comment:
16.04 is still maintained. So.....

Would move to newer Linux but cannot. Insufficient root partition room. Need 12
gig more (working space??). Would like to use thumb drive for temporary added
root space but when mounted, is not part of partition. Thumb drive is a
separate segment. Any suggestions.
