- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Mouse click on the directory list entry of a symbolic link where the source
directory was renamed outside of Dolphin.
- Custom settings of the application:
openSUSE Tumbleweed with all updates applied.
An old symbolic link, like created with "ln -s source_dir mydir", in the home
directory, like "/home/tux/mydir".
The name of the " source_dir" has been manually changed outside of Dolphin; 
without updating the the symbolic link entry in the home directory.

Other info:
The "source_dir" is located on another disk partition, formatted with btrfs.
