  Well done! this works flawlessly for me, and all of @rkflx's use cases are now handled. Code looks sane, too (modulo one trivial change).
  
  If this patch now also fixes https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252483, please add `BUG: 252483` on its own line at the end of the Summary field
