  It's a shame `QLocale` doesn't have better formatting options <https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qlocale.html#FormatType-enum>. Looks like we're stuck with `QLocale::LongFormat`, `QLocale::ShortFormat`, or `QLocale::NarrowFormat`, unless you want to have a go at submitting a patch to Qt to add some better date options, which might be the sanest way to go...
