Have a look at http://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/language/type_alias

You basically specify an alias which you can then use instead of the original type.

For example:
A enum called "MyTestEnum" whose enum list contains "One".
You can specify an alias like that "using Enum = class::really::long::name::MyTestEnum;"
