Dolphin + Konqueror: selecting items

Yes.

Especially between konsole, kickoff, and krunner which are all superior 
application-launching mechanisms.

Opening documents and such is still done better in dolphin but then selecting 
files is done often enough to make it worth the effort to improve selecting 
files.
