Konqueror + Dolphin: service menus

Hello,

I was never happy about the fact that the service menu itself decides whether
it goes into the root of the context menu or not. For example at
http://enzosworld.gmxhome.de/temp/servicemenu.png you can see a service menu
installed by KPlayer. When opening a context menu above a directory, the
actions "Play" and "Queue" are added into the same hierarchy as actions
like "Rename", "Delete" or "Copy"...

The creator of a service menu cannot know how many other service menus the
user has installed and hence cannot judge which actions should go into the
root until the context menu gets a mess.

As the past has shown, also the distributions don't care much about this
problem.

Generally speaking I'd like to create a service menu editor for KDE 4.2 (*),
which allows the user to hide service menus and to adjust the level where
service menu should be entered.

Any input and ideas to this topic would be very welcome.

Thanks!
Peter

(*) KDE 4.1 if somebody wants to take over this task ;-)
