what kind of extraordinary question is that? what will happen if Qt 4.4 Beta 1 
is released as is, is that your question? 

You came in with a specific complain about a defective debug output in an 
early Trolltech beta product.
You now seem to draw out of nowhere a causal relationship with some rendering 
errors you are observing in form widgets, that I have absolutely no idea 
about.

Are you referring to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158607 ? then you 
better comment there if the temporary disabling of direct drawing 
does'nt 'fix' it for you.
