Is this really a win? As I see it this can be a useful feature for hackers,
but is so at the cost of making the interface more complex for the majority
of users, since the latter don't know how to write regular expressions.
Seems to me like it's better to implement this as a plugin, such that those
with this specific knowledge can use it without the majority paying for it.
