Hi Frerich and all:

You are right.

My many apologies to to Phillip and others for my rant.  I think I mistook him 
the original poster of this thread who kept stating how he can better code in 
C++ so things don't crash.  But I can't confirm this, because I've deleted 
earlier messages in the thread.

To Phillip: regardless of whether you use paper or charting tools, I agree 
that designing before coding is much better.

Sorry guys, I'll be sure to be more constructive in the future.
