Since I was the one mentioning this, be aware that I am not sure it's the 
correct route either. It 'feels' better to me because it stores the data in 
the l10n database that we already have anyway, but I don't know the technical 
consequences. So before investigating this, please wait until someone else 
steps up and can confirm this is a good idea.

Sounds awkward to me to call it get *EXTRA* suffixes, but return the whole 
list. Shouldn't it be named 'getUrlSuffixes()' instead then?
