konqueror extensions

I'd like to write a few extensions for konqueror.The first being a
toolbar to use at work (text-boxes in a toolbar that autosubmit to a
webpage; similar to the existing google-search). The second being an
adblock-like extension.

I have been unable to find any documentation on either
konqueror.kde.org developers.kde.org or via google for writing
konqueror extensions. If such documentation exists could someone
kindly point me at it; if it doesn't exist, could someone point me to
where I should look in the konqueror source to get my bearings?

(One further question; what is the list's preference on pgp
signatures? for email directing to the list?)
