wierd konqueror problem

I'm having a problem when trying konqueror on the
latest knoppix (konqueror 3.2.2 on KDE 3.2.2)

When I have multiple tabs in konqueror, if I maximize
the screen, then click on a different tab, the
konqueror window jumps back to the former size, as if
I clicked on the "restore" button in the upper right.

Anybody have an idea of what setting I need to change
so this won't happen?
