I agree that this helps with regard to the direct clicking. Now if I click on
a link that is a pdf, i can set the setting to open up acroread or xpdf
permanently.
However, I am interested in the setting that I described above.
When I google something and
when i am about to select a hyperlink on a google page, I have the option of
"right clicking" instead of clicking.
If I left click, now get my permanent file association described above via
the setting/konqueror/file association choice for pdf.
However, when I right click on a url while browsing a web page, konqueror does
not seem to "know" the file type - or even that it is a file type. Instead
it gives me choices of (i guess) browsers - ie
epipany
mozilla
lynx
galeon
e links
plus a generic -
"other" which gives me a entry dialog with browsing for application ability.
my question : how do I register something like xpdf and acroread with that
list of browsers so i can chose on the fly.... where is that setting kept?
Ah I see now
Settings/konqueror/file association/txt/ html
there it is!!
great it works!
thank you!
thanks,
mitchell
