"javascript:..." support

Hi,
  I'm not sure what kind of bug the following problem is : 
http://www.ugc.ie/reservation/ChoixResa.jgi?FILM=82903&COMPARER_HORAIRES=O
=> "change date"  which is a URL :
"javascript:popup_args('/PopupCalendar.jgi? FILM=82903', 'calendar','width=240,height=240,scrollbars=no')"

I've seen the following bugs which seem to related to it :

So what type of problem is this, or is it something which may have an easy fix ? 
(or can be described for a novice to actually help with ? )
