Have you tried it with a modern Safari (webkit > 124) useragent? It
seems that it'd probably be better to test (after XMLHttpRequest is
implemented more) with that than a Gecko userstring, since gmail
checks for Safari many places.

On a related note, anybody mind if I update the
useragentstrings/safari.desktop file to use a modern recent Safari UA
string? i.e:

- X-KDE-UA-FULL=Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us)
AppleWebKit/48 (like Gecko) Safari/48
+ X-KDE-UA-FULL=Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us)
AppleWebKit/124 (like Gecko) Safari/125.1
