i have some suggestions for default webshortcuts for konqueror. 
please forward to one responsible (couldnt find). 
 
first, regarding searching in CDDB-databases. 
http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search.php?words=\{@} 
and  
http://www.gracenote.com/music/search-adv.html?q=\{@} 
shortcut something like cdf and cdg? 
 
regarding search engines: 
http://citeseer.nj.nec.com/cs?q=\{@}&submit=Search+Documents&cs=1 
should be changed to 
http://citeseer.ist.psu.edu/cs?q=\{@}&submit=Search+Documents&cs=1 
 
could you add some other search engines? 
http://s.teoma.com/search?q=\{@} 
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=\{@} 
and 
http://www.wisenut.com/search/query.dll?q=\{@} 
would be the shortcuts. 
 
about dictionaries: 
http://dictionaries.travlang.com/ 
offer A LOT OF other shortcuts which could be considered.. :-) 
(lets say.. norwegian-dutch? have a look, its many! 
the use of countrycodes is a good idea!) 
 
there is a nice openoffice thesaurus 
for germans: 
http://thesaurus.kdenews.org/multimatch.php?word=\{@} 
for english: 
http://www.cogsci.princeton.edu/cgi-bin/webwn2.0?stage=1&word=\{@}
