I guess I owe you a beer now for posting my dumb question on kfm-devel instead 
of kde-newbies ;-)

regarding the test itself:

I have added a testcase locally, but unfortunately running it makes 
testregression freeze. PartMonitor::waitForCompletion() does not return if 
the testcase issues a redirection.

partCompleted() is called twice in total, but that does not make 
waitForCompletion() return.

Do you still want me to commit the attached testcase?
