That, or people use the Edit menu.

But please don't remove the 'Up' button, I use it fairly often, ALSO in 
webbrowsing mode. (That is, if webdesigners created a decent folder 
structure, which they don't always do.)

Rather novices that type in a URL and don't know they can press enter. IE has 
a Go button by default, but for sure has no MMB pasting :)
