Here's a patch that does it the right way, using the constructor, so that the 
shortcut becomes the default shortcut. Please review.

Remaining bugs:
- Does Ctrl+= zoom in? In different keyboard layouts? It doesn't for me, in us 
and ca_enhanced layouts.
- Does the keypad plus and minus keys work? I have a laptop, so I can't test.
