strange linker error with konqy

Hi,

sorry for a stupid user question....

I recompiled libkonq and konq_listview.so on my system, with libkonq featuring 
the new caseSensitiveCompare() function.
I can load konqy with the listviews from the command line, but when I start 
konqy from the kicker icon, it says undefined reference 
to ...caseSensitiveCompare... in konq_listview.so 

Why does it work differently ?
