The main thing to check is that you have installed kdegraphics, as KSVG, which 
provides the SVG support, is located in that module and not in kdelibs, so it 
won't necessarily have been installed by default.

If you have got it installed, the croczilla site will not work due to the 
particular way the svg is embedded in the xml. See http://bugs.kde.org/
show_bug.cgi?id=68888. However, the w3.org site you reference does work ok.
