I see you failed to read the document and the mailing list I pointed you to.
These issues were discussed and answers were given.
In short; they are called KDE guidelines instead of editor guidelines for a
reason.

Instead of abusing a known usability issue you might want to fix it.
If I am posting in a forum and I press ^W since I want to delete my last word,
like I could in the previous version of konqueror (and I am used to do in vi
and konsole), I loose all my typing without a question.
If you feel that is acceptable I must comment that you are not someone that
can make statements about usability.

Global version that are hidden for the user and for new developers are also a
nightmare to maintain; and thats ok for some reason?

You clarified your point of view enough, yes.
Your feeling of 'inproved usability' is setteled on just feelings and not on
any rationale that holds for anyone but a very select set of people.
