KHTML: execCommand/editable text area planned?

Hey all,

I was wondering if there are any current plans for implementing the 
javascript execCommand, or anything with similar behavior in the khtml 
library. More specifically, if anything similar to wysiwyg 
editable text areas will be possible with future releases of the engine.
If not I am curious as to the platform specific (OSX / other *nix) or 
engine specific issues related to implementing this feature. Or is it an 
open problem to tackle?
