So how will you handle this case:
* I have several Linux HD partitions that I do not want to be on my desktop.
* My digital camera behaves as an USB disk - I want an icon.
* I usually have my FAT partition unmounted - I want an icon.
* But I do not want the icons of these disks to disappear when mounting.

I think that the "Link to device" with sub menu is OK.
