Java on konqueror

Hello list,

I have problems with JAVA on konqueror.

SuSE 8.1, R 1.7.0, java version "1.3.1_04",
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_04-b02),
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_04-b02, mixed mode), and
KDE 3.03

when I try to use konqueror for help.start() in R I get the following

> help.start(browser= 'kfmclient')
Changing the default browser (as specified by the `browser' option) to
    the given browser so that it gets used for all future help
    requests.
Making links in per-session dir ...
If kfmclient is already running, it is *not* restarted, and you must
    switch to its window.
Otherwise, be patient ...
> Mutex destroy failure: Enhet eller resurs upptagen

help.start() opens up konqueror which works OK except for the search engine 
(that doesn't respond) and the engine is java and javascript dependent. As 
far as I know I have enables these programs in konqueror.

What does ">Mutex destroy failure: Enhet eller resurs upptagen/Unit or 
resource occupied - traslation from Swedish/" mean and what should be done to 
get things going?
