Hello,

Ismail proposed to send my test case to you, so you could take a look at
it.

I did a bug report that konqueror wouldn't start my applet using the
<embed> or <object> tag. Only if I create a html page that contains the old
<applet> tag, the applet is started. As I mentioned to Ismail, I would
expect konqueror to support at least one of the two more modern tags.

 I have included:

 - index.html (a stripped down version of
 http://www.tidalinfo.com/tidalinfo/frames/tidalinfo_plugin.html)
 - konqueror.html (http://www.tidalinfo.com/tidalinfo/frames/konqueror.html)
 - tidalinfo.jar can be found on
http://www.tidalinfo.com/tidalinfo/frames/tidalinfo.jar

I'll hope you'll have the time to take a look at it.

 Best regards,

p.s. Please note the forwarded message below, wherein Ismail describes a
 crash.
