Kerberos v5 FTP support - correction

My question is still pertinent, but I would just like
to point out that kerberos v5 authentication is carried
by the gssapi interface, which is more generic and portable.

So, to reformulate the question:
Are there some plans to develop an gssapi based ftp
in  Konqueror?
