I've digged a bit more into that : in the two reported URLS cases, it's a 
commercial script called DHTML QuickMenu (http://www.opencube.com) that's 
used.

Before David's backports on ecma/kjs_html.*, this script was failling... now, 
unfortunately, it "works" ;(

Since konqui is identified as NS compatible, it inserts a bunch of layers 
like:
<LAYER ID="qmevent0" POSITION="absolute" RIGHTMARGIN="9000011" TOP="0"
LEFT="0" WIDTH="142" VISIBILITY="hide">

Those layers hold the displayed entries.
