End-of-line character in Konqueror?

I am planning on writing a piece of software that takes information from a web site and then formats it into more useful pieces of information. Being a Mac user, though, I want to be as inclusive as possible, especially since Safari is based on Konqueror; because of that, I'm trying to make this as multi-browser friendly as possible.

In my experience, when you cut and paste from IE and Netscape, not to mention Opera, they all use different characters for end-of-line (I'm not sur why, to be honest). Because of that, I'm wondering what Konqueror uses, or, if Safari uses something different (Apple isn't that crazy, is it?) what that might be.

Thanks!

Oh, and I'm not subscribed to the KFM lists or anything like that.
