Can't login with Konqueror...

Hi, I am running OpenBSD 3.1 with KDE 3.0.0 and Konqueror 3.0.0. I run into 
problems while tyring to login at websites like www.hotmail.com and others. 
The message given out at the browser is this:

An error occured while loading 
https://loginnet.passport.com/ppsecure/post.srf:
Timeout on server
Timed out while waiting to connect to loginnet.passport.com

My system is going through a proxy server to surf. Please advise.
