what about "charset=windows-1252"?

In "View/Set Encoding"? No, this doesn't work either.

(This is konqueror from CVS/HEAD from 2 or 3 days ago,
but as you know: I have those funny knotify crashes,
that you said were possibly due to a link conflict.
However, this was a recent cvs-clean install.)
