Do you want to play politics?

If so, you might want to condition your statement, as in the following form 
"As a result of the open nature of this specification, and the W3C's planned 
"no-patent" policy, we plan to support UAAG 1.0"

Don't know if that is appropriate, or not, or who gets to write such a thing 
on behalf of the Konqueror developers.
