khtml discarding empty lines in mails?

see the attached mail (sorry Michael, for picking yours :) You will notice 
that his responses are shown immediately after the quoted text, without an 
empty line in between.

Why are those empty lines not shown? Makes the mails a bit harder to read.

You see that the empty lines are present when replying to that mail -- the 
composer shows them.
