Actually, Slackware 8.0's (and -current/8.1's) 1.4-p4 still works *perfect*
with KDE if you edit Makefile.am to accept 1.4 instead of 1.5 and
admin/cvs.sh to not "exit 1" upon non-1.5 versions. No other modifications
are necessary at all.

I would appreciate it if we could accept 1.4-p4 (again), maybe older 1.4
versions are broken, but to say KDE requires 1.5, well, it is simply not
true. If 1.4-p4 doesn't work on other distributions than those distributions
are messed up one way or the other.

Don't disable something which works perfectly fine on decent systems just
because it barfs elsewhere. ;-)
