Hi,
a) this is correct. Look at http://java.sun.com/sfaq
b) you can perhaps make it work by disabling the security manager in
konquerors java settings. But I discourage you from doing this! This will
open access to your computer to every java applet - reading and writing
files, executing programs. Expect this option to disappear from the settings
in the future. I consider it as VERY DANGEROUS.

I do not understand how netscape could allow this. And I do not understand why
this code is in the applet. Aren't there perhaps specific installation
instructions from IBM ?
