Konq and progressive loading of images (was Re: kde 3.1 -- make Keramik default?)

I've got the same problem for several weeks and I've given up. Offered 
explanations so far: Qt 3.0.4 is not fully BC; library pathes are wrong 
etc. You might want to search the archives, maybe one of the suggested 
solutions solves the problem for you.
