I think this code is acceptable. 
Anyway, your new testcase doesn't help : same rendering.

But please people, don't get nervous : Dirk's last commits are commented as 

- 1.178 - even more fixes for percent tables. even more experimental :)
- 1.176 - some possible fixes to percent width tables. 43750-43753 and others. 
needs feedback

That's work in progress, and now, he do have feedback :-)
