How to change the number of characters allowed in a cell without erasing all the data in the table

Swarup,
I double checked and I see I had no data in my test table, that's why I
observe different message. I also confused the property with the "Default
value" property.
It would be best if you add a bug report to bugs.kde.org then, thanks.
In the report I will be can recommend a warkaround for you for changing the
property without removing data.
