Default values in columns are supported but indeed this needs
extensions, e.g. formulas are not yet supported.
Any wishes or bug reports are appreciated, and can be most efficiently
filed at links provided at
http://community.kde.org/Calligra/File_a_bug_or_wish (Report bug for
Kexi). If you do not wish to do that, that's ok, tell me and we'll add
the wish anyway.

That's probably because these are not packaged in this distribution.
If it was you'd see this content:

 It's old one for Kexi 1.x though. New one would be available at
http://userbase.kde.org/Kexi#Documentation.2C_Tutorials_and_Samples
(and later perhaps also packaged for offline use).
