Yes, this is a limitation in the version you are using...if you look through
the code, you will find something like:
//TODO more date formats ;)

You cant with the version you are using.

If you are feeling adventurous, then im working on a new version for Kexi2.
It currently supports javascript embedded in 'field controls' so that you
can do calculations...you should also be able to manipulate the format of
dates/times
