[Kexi] Can't logon to MySQL

Yes, that is the error message. MySQL Admn works and so do other apps like 
amaroK.

Version is 4.1.14, I am running Gentoo.

That fixed the problem. I don't see why the firewall would be involved. 
Anything required in /etc/hosts.allow?
