Hi Robert.
Did this work before?

Kexi installs calligrakexi.png icons of many sizes on and uses it.
As a workaround I would suggest to create a menu shortcut using a kmenuedit app
and pick the calligrakexi.png icon.

As this is a deployment topic, for long-term solution I'd suggest to ask
Kubuntu developers/users for assistance: http://www.kubuntu.org/community.
