Project->Open / Import Project

navigate to the folder of the project you want to use
do not select any files
click next.
from the drop down list of options choose

Build System -> Custom Build System.

although unless you have a really good reason to do otherwise I
reccomend converting the project to CMake - it is not as complicated a
task as it would first seem.
