Installatoin problems

OMG, is that really the only solution. I actually started trying that, 
but ran immediately into a lot of trouble. Is there really no Debian 
package for this somewhere? Is there no one that has done this before?
I would hate to have to switch to Eclipse instead of KDevelop.
