Kdevelop4 4.3 and 4.6 runs like a pig on AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+

We use VMWARE to host various virtual machines (diff Linux flavors, 32/64
bit, Windows boxes etc). 

When using X protocol I set display to my local window to skip the
encryption of ssh. (Requires using "xhost +" on my workstation). I get best
performance using console window from VMWare websphere client.
